We are a growing group of addiction clinics and we are looking to hire medical professionals who are committed to helping patients recover from addiction.

Pick your hours:

Our patients work, go to school, take care of their families, and have many other commitments in their lives.  Many like to visit us during non-business hours.  We are looking to hire professionals who can give us a block of a few hours at least twice per month.  You pick the times that work for you. Saturday afternoons? Friday nights? Normal business hours?  You pick.

We provide:

  • Supervision from our Medical Director
  • Professional liability insurance (malpractice coverage)
  • Medical office space
  • Administrative staff
  • Medical Assistants
  • Professionally developed policies and procedures
  • Software Infrastructure (EMR, HIPPA-grade G-Suite, etc.)

All you need to do is provide top-notch care for our patients.

Pick your location(s):

Currently we have clinics in Dundalk and Towson, and are adding new offices in Montgomery County and Elkton, MD this fall.

Workload:

The maximum patient case-load each provider can manage is determined by US Federal law.  In the first year of a DEA waiver, providers are limited to a case-load of 30 patients. After a year, providers can apply to raise that to 100 patients.  After the second year, physicians and osteopaths can raise their limit to 275 patients.  For now, NPs and PAs can never handle more than 100 patients at any given time.  As a result, treating addiction with buprenorphine can never be a full-time employment opportunity.  We have constructed opportunities for professionals to add this to their existing career.

Physicians Assistants and Nurse Practitioners:

The Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act of 2016 (CARA) was signed into law in August, 2016. CARA provides for Nurse Practitioners and Physicians Assistants to prescribe buprenorphine.   The American Society of Addiction Medicine has a good webpage that includes helpful information and links to help you understand how CARA works for PAs and NPs.  The 24-hour training is free (unlike the course for physicians). Once you have completed your course, you can apply for a waiver to receive an xDEA number.  We would love to have you join our team.

Medical Doctors and Osteopaths:

Do you already have a DEA waiver?  Great, we can use you!  Are you interested in taking the training required for your DEA waiver?  We will pay for your eight-hour training course.* MATClinics are paying competitive part-time hourly rates and we are eager to add to our stable of outstanding physicians and osteopaths.

*MATClinics will reimburse you for the cost of training in your first paycheck.
